Dr. Dawson Buettner

Dr. Dawson Buettner grew up just outside Montgomery, Alabama, in a family deeply rooted in the dental profession—her dad is a general dentist, and her mom is an orthodontist. Although she briefly entertained a career in dermatology, Dawson ultimately realized that her creativity, love of detail, and hand-eye coordination made orthodontics the perfect fit.

After earning her dental degree at UAB and completing her orthodontic residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Dr. Buettner joined Reflections Orthodontics in 2025. She’s passionate about creating life-changing smile transformations, particularly in cases with an esthetic twist, such as peg laterals, crowding, and asymmetries. Patients appreciate her patient-centered, lighthearted approach and her commitment to making them feel comfortable and informed throughout treatment.

When she’s not in the office, Dr. Buettner enjoys exploring Nashville with her partner, Tyler (a general dentist), and their cat, Kona. She loves to travel, paint, cook, hike, and try new restaurants, and is excited to now call Tennessee home!
